Ideas? I really don't wanna start over just because of this issue. These screenshots were taken within a minute of each other, btw. I think it may be what's causing my overheating issue above as well, but I wanted a thread that might attract people who've noticed this progressive drop as time goes on. Screenshot examples with FPS counter(outside of VR but still useful)ĮVEN LOOKING STRAIGHT AT THE GROUND I GET 30 FPS!: Is something suspicious with my save? I've even tried turning graphics settings to minimum and even turning them all the way down through the F3 menu but it won't go above 30ish - I know you've been playing - has your performance gotten worse as you go? If I start a brand new game with the same settings, the FPS is about FOUR TIMES as high. I just noticed this this morning.īasically in my 5ish hour save game performance has gotten ludicrously bad. I really cannot wait to see it and it's completed state. This may be related to my problem here: but I don't know. This is one of the few Early Access games that I keep coming back to religiously.

I understand that the game is still in development and I'm not mad about that. Now that I have lost about 30 to 40 minutes worth of work again, I guess I'm done for another few months. My question is, is this a known issue? The last time it did it to me, I had just added three rooms to my base and fully decorated each of them.

So naturally what I have to end up doing is rebooting the game, and restarting from my last save point, from before the recent hang up.

Im no programmer, but it appears that the saving process is hanging up for some reason, and it never actually writes a new save. Recently we had the 3 in 1 update on xbox, and I was pretty impressed! Frame rate still suffers at times, but it was around 20 hours and just after the Sunbeam explosion that I ran into a huge pain in the butt.Ī good 50% of the time, when I try and save, the "saving game" message never goes away, and the option to save remains greyed out. So, every few months, i load up the game on PC and Xbox, just to see the progress.
